Unbelievable Changes [Open, Reaction to Kages Deaths] RudirJT
A usual night, for it being the festivals. Everyone was out having fun, I cruised among the streets for a bit, for I was never one to get wasted with alcohol. In fact, I hated alcohol. It was never my things, and never will be. The taste is horrific, especially beer and vodka. Wine was decent, because there are so many different sorts in flavours, but yes, I hated ninety-nine percent of the alcohol that I would digest. Fireworks were being lit off in the distance, lights shining from many lanterns that was used as a light source. All the kages of the villages were off to themselves, with their own sort of party. It was one of those "dreamy" nights, the nights where you wished you could just fade away, and live a life where you could only experience the good and bad in a positive manner. Everything you dreamed of would come true, and maybe some of your worst nightmares would come to life. That's the sort of aura I got from the festival. No harm done, everyone happy together. No war, no violence, no crime, no evil. It was really a thing.

As life could only get better, the next morning, news shook all the villages dead on. Something that would had never been anticipated, though a possibility. Large amounts of people on the streets, all questioning what had happened. For the fact I had yet to know what happened, I left my house, and walked onto the streets of the village. A large gathering was in front of the Administration Building, where the Fire Nation Daimyō stood on top, having a conversation with one of his Anbu bodyguards. I threw my hands behind my head, and walked towards the large crowd. As I stood still, a announcement had caught my attention. "The young, strong, intelligence Sawamura, Daichi is the new Hokage for the Hidden Leaf!" I stood still, looking around me. Hundreds of villagers, and other ninja congratulated me for it being such an honour. I was dumbfounded, but after I understood what had happened, I finally comprehended why I was chosen to become the Hokage. All the Daimyō's had argued, and contemplated on the new Kages for every village after the previous Kages had been poisoned the night of the festival.

The era of peace has ended. Now, I'm leading it down it's own path, with my power, my leadership. But I know I'm not by myself. I have my friends, comrades, even the civilians who would support me till the very end. The Daimyō had called me up, and I jumped high into the air, onto the very top of the Administration Building. As much as I wanted to rant on, I decided to give a small, inspirational speech. This speech, in hope, would give everyone the trust they would desire. To know that I will not abandon them, and will carry on the strong Will of Fire. To bring justice and peace. To not betray a single ally unless given the conditions that they commit treason.

"I am no man to say I deserved this position. However, I am a man who will bring justice, pride, honor, and peace to the village. I will handle as much as I can to assure the safety of everyone who lives here. I will carry on the Will of Fire that the previous Hokage had held," I took a breath, and continued, "I will ensure that the Hidden Leaf Village will be a place of pride. A place of unforgotten history, unforgotten history that we all honorably carry! And by that, I, and the hopefully trustworthy new Kages for the other villages, will retain the peace we originally had. Shinobi will fight, and they will fight for us!" Standing there idly, I looked up to the sky, at the beautiful blue sky. The calm winds which helped set the mood of the current problem.

Things will change, and hopefully in a good way.

Hiro had fallen asleep early in his hotel, he missed most of the festival, the trip here was long and tiring. The young boy extremely exhausted. He could hear the constant banging of walls, shrieks of women.. which only indicated one thing. Yeah, you guessed it. Hiro woke up in the middle of the night, someone screamed loudly as hurried footsteps pounded in the hotel's hallway. "The five Kage have been assassinated!" The boy was too tired to comprehend and fell right back asleep, perhaps it was a dream.

The following morning, sunlight shown into Hiro's suite. It was a makeshift alarm, the boy shifted in his bed at first to escaped the light which violated his face. Unfortunately, Hiro decided to creep his eyes open. The red-hued iris looked forward, ~Was last night a dream..?~ Hiro yawned, standing up. He stretched out all the while thinking about his "dream". The boy extended his right arm and grabbed the scarf from the hat rack, located in the suite. He tossed it around his neck, quickly wrapping it around and tucking the extra material back into the scarf.

He sported a black scarf which covered most of his neck, and was neatly tucked into itself. The scarf also covered some of Hiro's upper body, just above his shoulders. The boy wore a long sleeved black shirt, the sleeves ran down to his forearms and stopped just before his wrist. Hiro wore black trousers you'd see most shinobi wearing. The ran down just above his ankles, enough room to show off his dark black shinobi sandals. A butt pouch was located on his right side and a thigh pouch on his left leg, strapped tightly. Hiro left his Amegakure headband tucked away beneath his scarf for the time being.

The boy looked up, he noticed the Daimyo for the land of fire standing atop the Administration building. People were crowded all over. So, the dream was reality. The Kage were dead.. and the rest bored Hiro. He didn't care what happened here or there, it had no effect on him. Or did it? The boy would be too ignorant and selfish to understand. Hiro began to walk off into one of the nearby shops, as the new Hokage gave his speech. The boy pushed through the crowd and quickly made his way out of there. His stomach growled, perhaps he should eat.

It seemed like ages had passed since the night of the festival, the night the world lost it's most valuable leaders. It had been so recent, but the shift in the mood of the country made it seem like decades ago. Peace was gone. Now would come the shinobi world most only knew about through legends and stories of the days before Naruto Uzumaki. This boded unwell for the future. Death would become far more common out in the field, and people would no longer be able to sleep with their naïve sense of entitled safety. Aika knew now more than ever her focus had to be on the village and her duty as a ninja within it's walls. She wouldn't fail, even if it meant her family's wrath.

Aika went to the ceremony where the new Hokage was meant to be chosen. She heard whispers and rumors of who would be selected. Sawamura Daichi seemed to be the favored nomination. She could understand why. While she'd never worked with the man herself, he and his sister were well known and respected in the village. Both intelligent and talented shinobi. They needed a skilled leader in these times, and whoever was chosen hopefully he would prove to be one. She stood in the crowd dressed in her usual violet dress, her reddish brown hair loose and swaying in the wind. Lavender eyes watched as the favored choice was named Hokage and stepped up to accept his position. She wanted in anticipation to see what he would say.

The speech wasn't the longest, but it was certainly inspirational in it's own way. The will of fire would need to return, and perhaps this man could accomplish that. The crowd broke out into eruption and cheer, and with a gentle smile she clapped her own hands within it. The village, and all the other villages would be alright, she had faith. Not just in their leader, but in the land and it's people itself. They would persevere and she would do all in her power to help them along. If that meant fighting for her land and it's people, then she would fight with every ounce of strength she had.

“Sannin?” Sawamura, Hakai repeated, head cocking to the side as she folded her arms across her chest. She leaned against the doorframe that led into her lab slash residence, periwinkle colour eyes trained upon the messenger. Her expression hard to read, and the thoughts going through her mind even harder to discern, she knew that she was making the messenger slightly uncomfortable with her lack of a reaction. One would expect something when delivering the news about dead Kages, a family member being appointed to the position, and even their own promotion to Sannin, yet none had come from this female. No fluctuation in her voice to tell rather or not she was surprised or upset, and her expression remained neutral, but one should had expected nothing less from the apathetic individual.

Her eyes continued to bore into that of the messenger’s skull, examining the individual to discern rather or not she knew him. A minute of that, and she concluded that she did not, and she would not make any attempt at getting to know him. She didn’t like social interactions, and the chances of her seeing the man again was close to zero. Thusly so, she didn’t even bother to get his name, for it would be a waste of time. She blinked several times, continuing to stare at the man before finally sighing, lowering her chin so that her eyes were now fixated on her crossed arms. “Why are you still here?” She finally said, breaking the silence that had loomed over the duo since the news had been delivered. She lifted her head up, tilting her head so that it rested upon the doorframe as she resumed staring at the messenger.

It wasn’t something he had expected to flow from her mouth, and thus he hadn’t a response. “Unless you have come to see to it that I attend the event, I see no reason why you stood here for so long. Unless…” Hakai drifted off, her gaze shifting away from the man. Without much warning, she pushed herself from the doorframe, hand softly closing the door behind her. She didn’t bother to finish her sentence, simply walking pass the man. She headed for the only logical place, the area where the Hokage ceremony would be. And she would arrive upon Daichi, the brother she hadn’t seen in quite a while, concluding his speech. Another sigh escaped her lips, and in a low mumble she uttered three words. "I knew it." She closed her eyes, head tilting downwards, sighed, and stuffed her hands into her lab coat pocket.

After my speech, I had nothing else left to say or prove. I turned, said a few words to the Damiyō and left. I guess I'd visit the office to see what I can do in there. It would become my second home, where I would spend a majority of my day assigning missions, dealing with paperwork and a lot more. As I walked down the stairs to arrive inside the building, I was greeted by a few civilians, congratulating me on becoming Hokage. My internal thoughts were simple, I didn't ask to be Hokage. I didn't even know any of this was happening, nor that I was the popular candidate favored among many. Now that I was Hokage, I had a lot more responsibilities to take on, and honestly, it would be a hell of a ride.

Twisting the door knob, I entered the room and closed it behind me slowly. I couldn't believe I was Hokage now. There would be so much to do, and I don't even know if I could handle it all successfully. Luckily, I would have others backing me up, and that I'm not the only one. That was no longer a concern at the least, since I reassured myself. I pushed the chair to the side, and looked out the window. Everyone was scattering from the announcement event, a lot of people were talking about. I wondered how many people doubted my position as the Kage. I wondered if I could actually do a good job. I wondered if I could defend the village.

I sat down in the chair, and looked up at the ceiling. Wait, what am I suppose to do right now? I thought to myself, unsure of the situation. Do I start the job straight away, or was I to wait to the next morning? Either way, I felt a bit lazy. Paperwork was not my thing, but I guess I'll have to endure it.

(OOC: Too lazy to post another full fledged thing, got so much work to do!)

Hiro finishes his meal, he raised his hand to thank the person at the desk. The boy exited into the bustling streets of Konohagakure no Sato. It was time for him to make it back to Amegakure, he'd have to report what happened. The boy tightened his scarf as he made way out of the gates, onto the dirt path.

Exit..

Hakai cocked her head to the side, watching closely as her brother exchanged words with the Daimyo before retreating into the building that he would be spending a lot of time in from here on out. Upon her brother’s departure, the crowd disperse, all resuming whatever boring thing they were doing before they had conjugated to this particular spot. It had her sighing deeply, having completely forgotten how many people dwelled within the village, as well as the fact that she would have to push herself through the crowd in order to get to the building her brother was within. Her reason for not simply returning to her lab to finish conducting whatever she had been doing before she was interrupted was easy enough to understand. She desired to congratulate her brother on his achievement, and since she would be serving as his bodyguard from today onwards, it was the perfect time to see her brother once again.

She didn’t remember how many years it had been since she had last seen her twin, it wasn’t like she actually kept track of time when she was coped up within her lab. And it wasn’t like Hakai cared to remember, for the detail was considered unimportant and uninteresting within her mind. Instead, she headed for the building, avoiding the crowd by doing the most sensible thing, which was to travel the short distance upon rooftop. Hoping from the building, she landed in front of the doors, hands swatting her bangs from her eyes before she walked through the doors.

With no need for an escort to the office, she simply made her way up to the office that her brother now called his own. And upon reaching the door, well she entered without knocking. The door though was shut as quickly as it was opened, and she took a couple steps forward, arms folded across her chest as she cocked her head to the side. A smile didn’t cross her face despite seeing the individual she called her twin, nor did she frown, her face remained neutral. “Yo,” Hakai said, eyes fixated on her brother.

Post by Daichi Sun Oct 12, 2014 12:23 am

After a few minutes of my own peace and quiet, someone walked into the room and started to speak. I looked down to see the sister I haven't seen in ages. "Ah, Hakai! Fancy to see you showing up." I looked at her. She had changed a lot. I haven't seen her for quite a few years, and today was one of those days where it was a reunion. Father has been busy lately, so I'd assume he hasn't heard, or noticed of the news yet. Hakai, my only sibling who probably despised me by now, still stopped by to say hi... Or yell at me. "So, you here to yell at me for advancing further than you?" Chuckling, I leaned back in the comfy chair I was sitting on. Damn, maybe I could sit here for hours. This chair is fabulous.

Hakai and I weren't close as kids, for I was always surpassing her, and beating her in everything. Even our father had put her in the Academy a year later than a regular kid. But after our mother had passed, her attitude manipulated and progressed so quickly, it became odd to hang around her. Me and her were only together when I assisted her in her early years of becoming a ninja, so our relationship wasn't the strongest. We never bonded together that well, and I thought we never could, considering we were never near each other. I could only hope that our conversation now wouldn't get awkward quickly. It's been quite a long time, and we haven't even kept in contact at all. We lived, and breathed our own lives completely separately. What a family, huh?

Unbelievable Changes [Open, Reaction to Kages Deaths] BpPIls8

If this event had occurred a decade ago, Hakai would definitely found herself annoyed with her twin. She had been a jealous and resentful individual when she was young, though one who had only wished for her father to acknowledge her just once, something Daichi wouldn’t understand. But that feeling had since changed, for she had stopped trying to outdo her brother and accepted her position as the Sawamura who would always be in the shadow of the other Sawamura. And since coming to that realization, she has walked her own path, one that wasn’t filled with trying to one up her brother. Instead, she has led her life in seclusion, with little desire to surround herself with the irrational beings that dwelled within the village. Her brother had almost been forgotten during the years she had spent alone, and her father, well she only remembered fragments of the man, though not enough to say that she truly hadn’t forgotten about him.

So when those words flowed from Daichi’s mouth, she didn’t immediately jump to yelling at him, not even for old times sake, nor did she whine about not getting the Hokage position. Instead, her face remained neutral, her eyes flickering about the office for she was becoming bored, and little reaction came out of the younger twin. It probably wasn’t what her twin expected of her, but she couldn’t muster up the energy to pretend that she cared about his advancements nor could she muster up the energy to seem interested. She wasn’t tired or anything, just didn’t feel the need to expel energy on anything that wasn’t in her lab or didn’t grab her attention. So, she shifted her weight onto her right side, eyes still trained upon her brother, quickly assessing his appearance before closing.

“Perhaps if we were younger I would had, but now…” Hakai reopened her eyes, “that’s the most irrational reaction you can ever desire out of anyone. Outdone only be an angry outburst that ends in the destruction of some property.” She took a step forward, uncrossing her arms before stuffing her hands into the pockets attached to her lab coat. A sigh escaped her lips as her head lowered, shaking it several times before bringing it upright again. “Is it so hard to consider that I have come either out of respect or simply out of the desire to congratulate you? Or maybe, it’s hard to believe that the person tasked with making sure that you don’t end up like the previous Hokage has actually come to greet you? Because by all means, I can take my congratulations and depart from this office, whilst also neglecting my new duties as your bodyguard, though they want to call it Sannin. Unless…” She drifted off, eyes flickering to a random corner in the office.

“Never mind. I have more important things to do beside standing here whilst you reminiscence about the past, whatever that may be. Unless you have something sensible to say, I bide you a compliment for your promotion and a farewell.” Hakai finished, albeit discerning how she felt at the moment was rather difficult due to her speaking in a monotone. Yet, perhaps her brother was intelligent enough to conclude that his sister wasn’t that same little girl he had known. This individual didn’t care that he was Hokage, she didn’t care that he was of higher rank than her, and, unbeknownst to him, she didn’t care rather or not he lived or died. It didn’t really matter if he knew now, for with the position the two held, they would certainly be working together a lot which was more than enough time for him to discard what he thought he knew about his twin. She had changed, and Hakai assumed he had changed to. Yet the degree of which they had changed since their last encounter has yet to be determined.

I yawned to myself, staring straight at Hakai. We were not similar at all, physically and emotionally. We were still both intelligent though, and that was about it. I placed my hands on my laps, as she started to speak in response to me. Her response was quite practical, and seemed real serious as well. She was never good with humour, and so I never expected her to be anyways. "Is it so hard to consider that I have come either out of respect or simply out of the desire to congratulate you? Or maybe, it’s hard to believe that the person tasked with making sure that you don’t end up like the previous Hokage has actually come to greet you? Because by all means, I can take my congratulations and depart from this office, whilst also neglecting my new duties as your bodyguard, though they want to call it Sannin. Unless…" She would rant on about what she thought, as all I did was listen with a straight face.

"Hmph. We are different, that is set between us. But that doesn't change the fact you're still part of my family, and that you're also considered the Sannin now. We have completely changed," A cough escaped my mouth, as I stood slowly, "even so we may differ from each other, but we both have our roles to play." I stuck my hands in my sweater pockets, and looked down. "I have more important things to do beside standing here whilst you reminiscence about the past, whatever that may be." Giving a little grunt, I sighed. "Never said I was reminiscing about anything. Hm?"

With the last few words, she sort of congratulated me in a way that I would care less about. Her attitude was quite a change, and now I had to deal with it as my body guard. "I guess I shall bid you the same."

Hakai refrained herself from scoffing at the notion of being considered his family, granted she had only gotten her current position because he was Hokage and whomever had arranged it thought it would be a bright idea to bring the two siblings together. Of course that person had neglected the fact that the Sawamura twins hadn’t seen each other in years, and for good reasons, though she would assume the judgment of the individual had been clouded. To be frank, she didn’t care much for the reason, a feeling that had immediately terminated the thought. Yet, she did note that if she were to ever find out who had the bright idea, that he or she would receive a good thrashing for taking her away from her lab to be amongst others.

When her brother had finished speaking, Hakai turned sharply, not feeling the need to say anything. It wasn’t like she could, for she hadn’t been listening to him, his words as insignificant to her as the ground she walked upon. So, with a flick of her hair she walked to the door, slipping out quietly. She stood outside of the office for a split second before she made her way back to her lab.

After final words were exchanged, Hakai left the office, with a blank expression on her face. While our little family reunion complete, I sat back down. A man walked in with a stack of papers, ready for me to read over. Great, I thought to myself. The work has started.
