"Death to All Resistance" (Site Event/Open to All)
A long shadow shifted through the night, undetectable by all. It swiftly moved, making no sound, no noise, and no light. The large boundaries of Kumo held no restraint on its movement. It moved into the village like the wind blew forward, there was no stopping this thing. Whatever it was it would do as it pleased. It sat for hours listening to conversations it shouldn't hear, seeing things it shouldn't see. It found itself in delight at learning so much information. After awhile the disgusting creatures bored the shadow they were too small and simple and had given up anything worth learning. The shadow shifted and moved towards where it had been instructed by the unknowing villagers. It found itself at a tower, the tower it had searched for, it had needed. This was where it would make itself known to the world, in the sad cold tower...it would show itself to villages highest practitioner. The shadow shifted through the walls and looked about in the place, sacks of meat clung towards the days end and thought they would be going home...but no no no...these sacks of meat wouldn't live much longer. The shadow watched as one moved to leave..."No no no!" the shadow whispered. "You can't leave!" a almost autonomic tone vocalized. The shadow's paw pressed the door, keeping it forever shut. The little thing scared had jumped away and pulled whatever primitive weapon it had. It couldn't see the shadow for all its senses, the shadow simply didn't exist to it, but to the shadow this soul existed for now. The shadow was done playing with the three people inside that were preparing for the new leader... all their tireless work would be unspun in a blaze of heat. Suddenly and abruptly the entire spire set ablaze, the shadows doing. Screams shouted and people yelled from inside while the fire burned, there was no escape for them...no escape, their skin soon turned black and then silence would come from the spire and only the cackling of voice would be heard over the roaring fire. The shadow with its work done left the area, only leaving a small note behind
"To the new found leader. You will submit to my demands or perish.
Leave enough provisions for 8 people for 1 month outside your village
Construct a building outside for where I may reside
Finally, Announce you are submitting to me
Woefully Yours, The Shadow*

Re: "Death to All Resistance" (Site Event/Open to All)
The news of the Raikage’s death was unseen, well more unexpected for Sarudoi. He favoured the old soul; they practised long discussions, insults and late night intoxications where the essentials of the female body were deliberated. But now that was removed and the worry of what comes next only stood to elevate that uneasiness that swept Kumogakure. Despite its rock-strewn surface the Village had sloped into a dirt-filled rug that, as previously affirmed, needed to be swept. Yet Sarudoi carried on for the sake of the dead. His parental figure, his legal guardian, the Raikage, no longer existed and now Kumogakure had become his ward.
He refused the Raikage’s invitation to the festival. Festivals were not his thing, more specifically residence within Konohagakure no Sato were not his thing. He held some dislike towards the Village Hidden in the Leaf, a name erected by his eldest ancestor, and their role in the apparent desensitising of the Uchiha. Yet those were more his fathers words and his grandmothers applications of judgement. He is far subtler in his approach to international mediation, the rules of the past served to hurt the rules of the future – peace was the way? And yes, that is a question that he often pondered as he made no formal decision to whether peace or strife was the way or peace and strife brings freedom. But for now he huddled towards the Lightening Peak Tower.
A frown sheltered his face and the maturity of his Sharingan showed its purpose as a group of ten or more; he had not stopped to count, raced beside him. Clouds of black smoke fenced the famous Kage monument and red flames danced high. He quickly glared behind him, analysing the posse that rode with him:
“Irui, Arasoi, gather a team and secure the gates. Misui, break and organise regular patrols, I want situational reports every ten minutes and each part of this Village monitored. Sukui, gather the Academy teachers and have them reassure parents and civilians alike that the fire is an emergency test that got out of hand, there is no need for concern. Kakoi, find me Kumogakure no Kuroi Kyouran, he may me handy.” He broke his unbroken commanding, halting his speech for a second before resuming “I do not know what this is but our priority is protecting Kumogakure no Sato and ensuring that none is hurt. Remain strong and constant, do not break communication and aid those who are in need.”
With those final words he instructed his kinsmen to move forward while he took to the dull and numbered rooftops of Kumogakure. It was not long before one of his kinsmen joined him and presented him with a note, a questioning yet unpleasant message found on the scene. And from there he looked closer and more keenly upon the damage with arms folded and fingers clenched and uttered but mere words, “What’s next?”

Re: "Death to All Resistance" (Site Event/Open to All)
Playtime had long since come and go for the redhead. The offer to be the village's next Raikage still lingered in her mind, but her evening of trying to forget it had helped well enough. She had known that a simple evening of trying to forget it with alcohol, sex, drugs, or whatever pleasures she could dip herself into, wouldn't erase such a huge decision. She had gotten back to her office in Kumogakure soon after. Counting out whatever millions she had; organizing her schedule for the week; waving through all the stuff she needed to keep her businesses run smoothly and effectively. It was strange how much pleasure she derived from working at her desk.
Still, that wasn't too last. The long man, dressed in the village's vest, couldn't have arrived at a more inopportune than when the woman was about to start going through the employee's report. It was her favorite part of all the work since she so greatly hated incompetence and was always happy to see who incompetent employees she would have to fire within the week. The village jounin though expression told her well that he was here for reasons out of his control. She had requested the information out of him, her mood sinking back into depression the more he said.
She wasn't even Raikage yet and she had problems on her hands. She growled, gathering a coat and wrapping it around her frame. Going there by leaps and bounds through the village was too much for her since she hadn't done that in sometime, so instead they had ran. She was still in shape enough to run there in a matter of seconds, barely arriving in time to see the building out. Albeit not without being burned almost beyond recognition. The smell of smoke burned her nose and thoughts clouded her mind.
She had quickly gotten herself to higher ground; the fact that she could still leap like she did surprised her, but it was in the heat of the moment. Even so, she stumbled slightly as she landed before the other higher ranking shinobi of the village. Despite being far from pleased at the situation, she spoke calmly to the group of shinobi and kunoichi before her... her shinobi and kunoichi.
One of them had quickly briefed her on the situation and she frowned realizing that it was worst than she had anticipated. "They also left this message." She quickly read through the request, licking her lips which had grown dry from the heat of the smoke. Her nostrils burned now intensely from the smoke as well, but she ignored that too with the situation occupying her thoughts.
"Have this paper analyzed for something... anything," she said "Until we know exactly what we're dealing with, we'll do exactly as they say." She looked around at the group, expecting them to question her judgment on the decision.

Upon analyze the note would be extremely structured, whatever and however the words got onto the paper it certainly wasn't by hand. They were perfectly written with no stray marks, mess ups or anything of that sort.
The fire roared getting louder and louder, the fire began to spread to nearby buildings. It had now creeped another 20 meters up the tower. Suddenly and abruptly the entire spiral burst into flames shooting a firing blaze through the top of the roof. The fire slowly itched more and more towards getting out of control.
The Shadow had already left the area and was now well out of the village, the attempts to close anything hadn't deterred it one step. It shifted moved and faded out of the village. Leaving the spiral tower burning like a lighthouse for all the world to see. By now many civilians had came out and were crowding the streets watching it a blaze. Some who lived near the place had already begun moving belongings from there houses in fear that the fire would engulf their own homes.

Re: "Death to All Resistance" (Site Event/Open to All)
From his height Sarudoi barked commands, his eyes set on the flames. His enemy so to speak but there is a truly underlining, a hidden sentiment and adivstory who committed such a crime. “A tedious crime”, he wheezed under his breath, guising his frustration for the offence as to not blot the esprit de corps of the shinobi under him. Leaping from the roof and prudently, if not assertively, landing close to the group of Shinobi before yapping further commands with the hope that they may silence the howl of the fire. Soon a mass of Shinobi and civilians alike began to work together to combat what they were calling forsaken flames. Bad luck some christened it, bad luck for the Tower of the dead Raikage to be charred so soon after the unfortunate demise. Yet Sarudoi cared none for superficial talks of superstition and callow descriptions of faith and the heavens. Matters were afoot and flames were to be doused and so he commanded.
Buckets of water carried by women and passed to men who then, with all their valour, lugged them at the fire. The routine did not stop and as a man or woman grew tired, another took their stead and married the role. Whilst the civilians work, the Shinobi, especially those with prowess in Suiton, took to the roof to put their chakra to use. Streams of water became a visual spectacle and the fire was an enemy who found itself in an outnumbered battle. Soon it began to die, its limbs were no longer stretching through crumbled walls and its roar was as weak as a cub. It only left a stench, a horrid one that wrote that this day, the burning of the Lightning Peak Tower, was one to be remembered.
Sarudoi watched the events unfold; a cooperative effort to quell an enemy was one to be behold even by his expectations. And soon, the fire was defeated and a cheer serenaded Kumogakure no Sato. Offering his own cheerful nod to the confetti of celebrations, Sarudoi peered behind him to see an old figure, “Atei” he whispered. “Your timeliness is brash, though the brass still want to tap you for the role of Raikage. I guess we follow you now. Shame about your Tower, but let us see where you will lead us.” he thought with the assumption that a new Kage has been selected.

Re: "Death to All Resistance" (Site Event/Open to All)
The flame silenced, Atei could breath easier now against the small bits of smoke that still tickled her nose. She watched the village work together, the sight of competence was at least pleasing enough to her otherwise frustrated soul. She turned her attention away from the sight for the moment to fix on the ninjas who stood with her. A dark haired male was the first to address her; commenting on her tardiness. "I'm not the kunoichi I use to be, so you'll have to excuse me," she said, leaving the matter at that for the time being. She really didn't need any reminders that she was not actually a ninja anymore yet they wanted her to lead a village of ninjas.
"But since no one has any other complaints, then gather three Earth release users outside the village and start construction on a house; five thousand square foot; eight bedrooms. Place enough food to last for a month. Don't worry about surveillance systems, if our guess actually intend to stay a month we'll e ready."
She looked at the burnt kage building. "Also, alert them to recover what can be recovered from the kage building and store them in the Brigadier's hideout." She inwardly sighed thinking of all the ruined work. The kage building could be completely obliterated and rebuilt perfectly within a week, but information was surely lost from all the burnt files.
She turned her attention back to the villagers down below. She was immediately met with eyes on her now that the fire had died and some semblance of peace was restored. It didn't take long for her to figure out what they were thinking. After all, the news that the former Raikage had died, while attempts were made to keep it a secret to maintain calm in the village, gossip got around easily. Now the people wanted to knew who there new leader was. There would be no time to do things officially with a fancy ceremony, Atei needed to do this now.
She turned her attention to the group of ninja. "the village news a new face right now. I may be able to run a village, but I'm no fighter, and the village needs someone who they feel can protect them. Which of you will step up and take that position?" she asked. She looked to the dark haired male from earlier. "You seem determined. Perhaps you can act on my behalf..."

Re: "Death to All Resistance" (Site Event/Open to All)
The water would seem to work and would start to put out the fire or so it would seem. The fire would simply crackle under the water and after loads of water was splashed everywhere it would seem the fire had been handled and then suddenly it reignited and the areas that were only embers now exploded and lite everything a blaze the fire had grown in great size and was soon double and then tripling the water was now providing fuel for whatever this was. The fire would now began consuming entire buildings, waning and cracking could be heard from the kages building as it fell to the earth. The people combating the fire who had moved along to extinguish them had ended up caught in the fire almost instantaneous blast of back. Many of the civilians were on fire and many were trapped by the flames and soon lite on fire and died. Screaming people began running from the fire while lite a blaze. It was total chaos. The more water added the greater this 'fire' burned. It'd soon be consuming a entire block and then another.
